My Little Notes - Vlc Media Player is now available on Apple TV. This application/software called VLC for mobile can be used local users to play videos of various formats on their TV. In addition, the app can also pull videos from your local network, DLNA servers, FTP servers, and Plex.
Not long since Apple began selling its new Apple TV product, and has attracted a lot of developer platform that has more than 2,600 applications in special app stores as of December last year. On Tuesday, VideoLAN announced that it is bringing its popular VLC media player on the box Apple TV.
The goal of the player is to run a media file you throw at it. This should make Apple TV customers are happy because they no longer have to convert their files into a format natively supports the Apple TV. But it's not the only peak app.
VLC to Apple TV also lets you watch your local content using SMB, UPnP and Plex protocol. But more importantly, this application offers support for remote playback, which means that you can send files directly from a Web browser or an application for the Apple TV and will run it.
Furthermore, the development team added that it was working on adding support for popular cloud services like Dropbox, onedrive, and Box to the app soon. This feature has been available in a beta application VLC to Apple TV.
